Theodore was one of the "founding artists" of Art Partly in 2006. Since then, he has continued to explore the aesthetic possibilities of found objects, not so much recycling as re-using them: marking them indelibly (literally... usually with an indelibly marker!) with drawings which themselves reuse bits and pieces of pop culture dating back to Norse mythology.
In Ted's words:
Via orienting the self at the pivot point of a cyclical cultural system, the artist is able to activate ideas, materials, and space as sustainable resources that have the potential to propel communities towards a new art, one created at a human scale. On this level, reflection can lend itself to a respect for space and energy and establish recycling, and the reuse of cultural materials, as a viable, sustainable, creative act that harmonizes with the world and its complex cycles on a dynamic and holistic scale.
Ted's most recent work, a portable mural made up of several large ink, paint and goache works, recycles everything from Steve McQueen to instruction manuals to his own recurring forms.
