In the Flow Series, I explore fluidly interacting streams of experience, time and relationships. Patterns emerge serendipitously and evolve continuously, their interactions creating resonance beyond the individual streams or entities. My vision is fundamentally optimistic, finding fluidity and motion even in the cemented and fractured essence of mosaic art.
Flow/Ping introduces monads into the flow, as either fixed boulders in the stream or freely interacting forms. Suggesting a gravitational interaction, the forms impinge on each other, playfully molding the flow around themselves.
Flow is the process too, the loss of self in the ongoing moment of creation, as the fractured tessarae, cement and grout lose themselves to the piece.
